The 2inno method focuses on a practical approach and does not want to “overload” SMEs with theoretical information on Innovation Management. One of the major problems we identified when working on Innovation with companies led us to the following question: Why is it so difficult for them to get started?

Cooper identified a standardized approach for development projects, which he calls “game plan”, as a critical success factor. The product development process starts with an idea originating from basic research, seed or unfounded projects, customer-based techniques, and creativity techniques.

In the german-speaking area the compilation of requirement specifications (“Lastenheft”) and functional specifications (“Pflichtenheft”) are important. The requirement specifications are based on results from marketing research. It contains the needs and requirements of the users.

When working on our 2inno method we discovered a very valuable source: The "i-model" of the Institute for Innovation and Technology in Slovenia. Therefore we invited the team to join our project as a partner and to help us to improve our 2inno method. Here we would like to introduce the "i-model" to you.
